Management mesh is a basic VeriSM™ vocabulary term that visualizes the management structure within an organization.
The management mesh can be flexed, expanded, and added to over time, as VeriSM™ encourages the incorporation of new methods and practices into an existing set. Companies are encouraged to utilize this model as part of regulating the flexibility of their service. The model consists of an unlimited number of different building blocks divided into 4 groups (in the grid they are represented as threads crossing each other from right, left, top and bottom):
- Environment (legislation, competitive environment, organizational culture);
- new technologies (automation, container technologies, internet of things, cloud technologies);
- resources (people, budget, assets, time, knowledge);
- Management organization practices (basics of industry best practices - ITIL®, COBIT® and IT4IT, industry standards - ISO/IEC 20000 and SO/IEC 27001, approaches, models and concepts - DevOps, Agile, Lean, SIAM, portfolio, program and project management).

Thus, the management mesh is unique for each organization: the mesh can be both complex, multicomponent and small, consisting of only a few links - it depends on the size of the organization and the specifics of its services. Over time, the mesh changes due to new ways of working, changes in the environment, the market, etc.
By visualizing all components of organizational management, outlining certain boundaries, this model can help a company develop its strategy to meet customer demands. Such a visual reminder serves as one of the reference points when developing the company's tactical and operational plans.
