**SSM (Shared Services Management)** is an approach to optimization and management of service processes through the creation of shared service centers (SSCs). Shared Service Centers consolidate and centralize non-core homogeneous business processes within one qualified structure, which is separated from all other divisions of the company. A CSC has all the attributes of outsourcing, but it is part of a group of companies and fully controlled by it.
