CMMI

Updated at: 7 October 2024

CMMI stands for Capability Maturity Model Integrated. It is a process improvement framework. It provides organizations with a roadmap for continuous improvement, helping them increase efficiency, reduce risk, and improve the quality of products and services.Organizations can use CMMI to assess their current business processes and identify areas that require improvement. By following the model's recommendations and best practices, a company can increase the maturity of its processes and achieve better results.
There are 5 levels of CMMI: 1. **Entry Level** This level is characterized by an unstable environment. The processes are not regulated. 2. **Manageable level** Some of the basic processes are described and can be used repeatedly. 3. **Defined level** All processes are defined and documented, but need to be described in more detail. 4. **Quantitatively managed level** Creation of metrics for development processes to control the quality of process execution. 5. **Optimized** level This level focuses on continuous improvement and optimization of business processes by implementing new methods and approaches.
