SimpleOne Releases SDLC 1.8.0 Featuring Flexible Task Status Configuration
published at: 26 March 2026
SimpleOne, the business systems arm of the ITG corporation, has launched version 1.8.0 of its software development management system. The most significant update is the introduction of flexible status model configurations for every project and task type. This release allows the application to be tailored for projects using diverse development approaches, such as Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid methodologies.
This update allows different teams within the same company to follow their unique workflows while staying within a single, unified system. For example, a development team might use a Scrum board with four specific statuses, while the design team uses a Kanban board with its own distinct stages. Additionally, tasks are now finalized using "Released" or "Canceled" flags rather than status changes, which makes boards much more visual and simplifies task lifecycle management.
“I believe businesses shouldn’t be forced into a single ‘right’ way of working. If a company has five product teams, each with its own established way of doing things, they used to have to either break their familiar processes or work in separate systems. Now, you can configure your workflows exactly the way your business needs them, bringing all your teams into one system while letting them keep the methods they’re used to.”Ruslan Sharipov CEO of SimpleOne (ITG)
Version 1.8.0 also introduces five new specialized task types: Design Stories, UX Research, Test Cases, Automated Tests, and Documentation Tasks. Every stage of product creation — from early user research to technical documentation — is now formalized and visible within the overall product landscape, making it much easier to coordinate across teams.
Furthermore, the integration between SimpleOne SDLC and the SimpleOne ITSM system has been significantly improved. When a linked defect is created, the related incident is automatically moved to an "In Progress" status. Once the defect is marked as "Released," a corresponding entry is added to the incident’s activity feed. This end-to-end traceability helps the team react to user problems faster and eliminates the need to manually pass information between support and development teams.
SimpleOne SDLC is a software development lifecycle management system based on agile methodologies, designed as a robust enterprise-grade alternative to global platforms. Version 1.8.0 is already available to existing customers.
