SimpleOne ESM 2.2.0 Launches With a Block-Based Knowledge Base Editor and Calendar View

published at: 25 August 2026

SimpleOne has released version 2.2.0 of its ESM platform for managing enterprise services. The new version delivers improvements in process automation and service quality. The update touches key points where employees interact with corporate services, from the knowledge base to announcements and approval processes.

The headline feature of this release is a new block-based knowledge base article editor, which speeds up the production of structured articles in a consistent corporate style and makes them easier to read and navigate. Authors can now assemble articles from headings, text-and-image blocks, and dividing lines. Blocks can be freely rearranged within a document, and headings automatically populate the article's navigation. Since each block can be edited and commented on independently, articles are now easier to update and keep current. The classic HTML editor remains available, and the article format can be chosen at creation time.

The ESM platform has also gained a universal "Calendar" view for any table: users can configure which data marks the start and end of an event, set color labels, and build their own custom calendars.

The new ESM platform version also expands what's possible with announcements. Announcements can now collect feedback, with results aggregated into a separate table for further analysis. Administrators can flexibly configure access to each announcement by custom criteria and portal, and can also resend an announcement at a scheduled time.

The approval widget in the agent interface has been unified with the portal version: approvers now see the approval subject, all process participants, and approval statuses in a single, consistent format.

"Companies want a coherent service model, not a collection of disconnected tools — one that works equally well for IT, HR, admin services, and customer support. We see this as the main direction for enterprise systems over the coming years, and we're building our architecture around it: universal data views, portable reference data, and multilingual support built into the platform core. At the same time, anything that ships as part of the ESM platform's business tools automatically becomes available to every business application — whether that's ITSM, SDLC, B2B CRM, or HRMS. Companies that choose a flexible, extensible platform now will gain a competitive edge in how fast they can adapt their service processes. They'll no longer need to buy a separate niche system for every new task."
