SimpleOne optimized the Low-code platform and increased its performance by 16 times

SimpleOne, the business systems arm of the ITG corporation, has completed a massive optimization of its Low-code platform, driven by the analysis of real-world client usage. Following several years of strategic investment in its flagship product, the company has achieved a 16-fold increase in performance compared to its original baseline. These results were validated through load testing, during which the SimpleOne platform successfully handled over one million user requests per month. This level of performance is specifically engineered to meet the high-volume requirements of the large and very large enterprises that make up SimpleOne’s core audience.

To ensure the platform can handle the massive workloads of large-scale customers, SimpleOne undertook a systematic overhaul of the platform's architecture. The company implemented horizontal API scaling, separated database read and write operations across nodes, optimized connection handling via PgBouncer, and configured multi-level caching. These strategic architectural choices eliminated performance bottlenecks and ensured the system remains stable and responsive even during peak demand periods.

To verify these results, SimpleOne applied a performance measurement methodology specifically tailored to the real-world business tasks of large companies. Rather than simply tracking raw technical queries, the company focused on the number of completed user requests per unit of time. This is a crucial distinction, as a single business scenario triggers dozens of internal operations distributed across various platform components, providing a much more accurate reflection of actual system performance.

The optimization journey was carried out in two major phases. Following the first stage, performance jumped by 580%, and by the end of the second stage, the total increase reached the 16x milestone. To ensure the metrics were as realistic as possible, the testing environment used a live business scenario from an existing SimpleOne customer running the SimpleOne ITSM application.
