Solution Description

The Apache Superset-based analytics module allows you to generate infographics, reports and dashboards. The solution provides a set of predefined graphs and the ability to create custom dashboards to analyze key performance indicators of IT support.

Solution functionality

The engine includes a centralized data visualization platform based on Apache Superset integrated with ITSM SimpleOne. The solution provides a set of standard dashboards for analyzing key IT support metrics, as well as supports the creation of custom dashboards and visualizations according to customer requirements.

1. Standard Dashboards

Preset dashboards cover the main areas of ITSM activities:

  • Overview of support service performance - request volume, SLA fulfillment, average closing time, dynamics by day.
  • Analysis of incidents - categorization, priorities, groups of executors, identification of frequent and recurring requests.
  • Team and executor workload - number of open/closed tickets, downtime, workload balance.

2. Advanced visualization capabilities

Different types of charts are available for each dashboard:

  • Line and bar charts - for analyzing the dynamics of indicators.
  • Pie charts - to analyze the dynamics of indicators.
  • Heatmap - for visualization of activity by days and hours.
  • Tables with conditional formatting - to highlight overdue or critical records.

3. Support for custom visualizations

The platform allows you to develop customized graphs and dashboards by client's order.

Such visualizations are created based on specific business requirements and/or unique data structure (non-standard fields, custom directories).

The process of realizing custom charts includes:

  1. Agreeing the goals, calculation logic and data sources with the customer.
  2. Development of SQL queries or data showcases (if aggregation is required).
  3. Designing visual representation (chart type, color scheme, captions).
  4. Customization of filters, interactions and access rights.
  5. Testing and implementation in the production environment.

4. interactivity and export

All dashboards support:

  • Filtering by users, groups, time periods, etc.
  • Cross-filtering - selecting a point on the graph automatically filters the rest of the dashboard elements.
  • Export to PDF, PNG.
  • Sending reports to email by schedule.
  • Setting permissions to view and edit dashboards at the role level.
