The SimpleOne platform has been confirmed to have three times the performance capacity

published at: 14 September 2026

TheIBS Group of Companies conducted load testing of the ESM platform from vendor SimpleOne (part of ITG Corporation’s business applications division), which is deployed at the Lenta Group. The test results confirmed that the SimpleOne platform has a threefold performance margin (300% of the target load) relative to its current operational profile. The testing covered the ITSM module, the IT asset management (ITAM) module, and customizations made specifically for Lenta’s needs.

Three objectives prompted the load testing at the Lenta Group: migrating SimpleOne from a cloud infrastructure to an on-premises server, transitioning from the Windows operating system to Linux, and verifying the system’s ability to scale as the number of business users and new tasks grows. An additional factor was the expansion of the platform’s functionality during operation—in particular, the addition of business processes for incident handling—which also had to be taken into account when creating the load profile.

During testing, the IBS team determined the system’s maximum performance, identified bottlenecks, and verified compliance with SLA requirements. The load profile was developed based on an analysis of actual operational statistics; specialists selected the most frequent, business-critical, and “resource-intensive” operations—both those already operating in the production environment and those related to functionality that was being prepared for deployment. Based on this profile, load scenarios were developed that replicated key operations in two areas: handling requests and managing IT assets.
The load was gradually increased relative to the baseline profile, where 100% corresponded to the operational intensity observed in current operations. The platform operated stably under a 300% load without a critical increase in response time. Based on the test results, the IBS team prepared a report with recommendations, including the implementation of monitoring for application servers and databases, as well as a procedure for conducting subsequent load tests.

“For us, load testing isn’t a one-time event—it’s a mandatory step before making any significant changes to our infrastructure. Migrating SimpleOne to an on-premises server and changing the operating system are major steps, and it was important for us to confirm that the platform not only works but also has a margin of safety. The results give us confidence that we can confidently expand functionality and onboard new users.”

Head of the Testing Competency Center at Lenta Tech

“Lenta Group reached out to us to ensure that changes to the infrastructure would not affect service stability and that the platform was ready for an increase in the number of users. We tested the SimpleOne solution deployed at the company with a capacity several times greater than the current load and confirmed that it can handle such growth without compromising performance.”

IBS Project Manager

The results confirmed the platform’s reliability and allowed the Lenta Tech team—the IT brand of the Lenta Group—to confidently continue developing the solution’s functionality without worrying about its scalability.

“Load testing is part of a mature approach to operating a service platform. When a company plans to expand its user base and system functionality, it’s important to understand the infrastructure’s capacity in advance. The results obtained by the IBS team at Lenta Groupshow that the platform is capable of withstanding significant increases in load without losing performance and of growing alongside the business—this is a key requirement for the platform to remain the foundation of the company’s service processes for years to come.”
